New Director for MHCI+D

Michael Smith Begins as New Leader for UW’s Program

As the new Academic Director of MHCI+D, expert designer Michael Smith will usher UW’s Master’s in Human Computer Interaction + Design into a future where the design and use of technology is driven by interaction. Building on one of the top master’s programs in this evolving field, Smith expands the breadth and depth of the faculty with his experience at Frog Design and Ascentium.

Smith steps into the successful framework created by Linda Wagner, the program’s founding Director. Wagner is moving to a new and complementary start-up master’s program in Technology Innovation at UW’s Global Innovation Exchange.
